My sliding scale fee is $125-175 for one session. If finances are a barrier to my services, please inquire about adjusted fees.
We will begin with a free 15-minute phone session. This allows us a chance to get to know each other and sense if we are a good fit. It will also be an opportunity for me to learn about your main goals and challenges.
Our first session is 90 minutes. This allows enough time to learn about your history as a couple, and discuss your challenges, strengths, and goals. Sessions after this are 60 minutes.
Payment is due at the start of our session. You may pay by check, cash, Paypal, or Venmo. I do not accept credit cards at this time.
I have positive expectations for our coaching relationship and I look forward to helping you create the relationship that you desire. To partner together professionally, I want you to be familiar with the following guidelines.
Terms of Coaching:
I invite you to think of coaching as a process. Many people create change for themselves in a short time. However, to refine and sustain the change takes several months. Although not binding, I would ask that you expect our coaching relationship to last at least 3 months with weekly sessions. This amount of time is generally sufficient for creating sustainable change. We will have a chance to evaluate at 3 months to decide if further work together would be helpful.
Procedure:
Our sessions will be between 60 minutes either in person, by phone or by Zoom. If we have a phone or Zoom session, you will call me at the specified time, unless we make other arrangements.
Changes:
If you need to reschedule our appointment, please give me 24 hours notice. If you have an emergency or illness, you can reschedule with less than 24 hours notice. If you do not show up for a scheduled session, for any reason, and provide no notice, you will be charged for the session. If I need to reschedule, I will give you at least 24 hours notice as well, barring an emergency or illness.
Between Sessions:
If you wish to connect with me in between sessions with a challenge, a success or an inquiry, I will make every attempt to respond to your e-mail or text within 24 hours, with an email or short phone call at your discretion. I'm happy to provide this extra level of service at no additional charge. Email me any time or text to reach me with ideas, problems, questions, etc, or to have a quick troubleshooting call. If a check-in call needs more than 5 minutes, we will discuss scheduling a full session or a half session.
Problems:
If I ever say or do anything that upsets you or doesn't feel right, please bring it to my attention so that we can resolve it as soon as possible. My objective is to have a coaching relationship that is fully open, honest, real and trusting in our communication. Communication via telephone or email entails extra challenges since we can not see body language, facial expressions, etc. Therefore, I ask that we give each other plenty of latitude, and promptly ask for clarification if there is a miscommunication.
Confidentiality:
This coaching relationship, as well as all information that you share with me as part of this relationship, is bound by the principles of confidentiality set forth in the ICF Code of Ethics. I agree not to disclose any information without your written consent. BE ADVISED: the Coach-Client relationship is not a relationship protected by legal confidentiality (like doctor-patient or attorney-client). As such, the Coach could be required to divulge otherwise confidential information to authorities.
Coach:
I am a Coach, not a psychotherapist or physician, and I am not trained in diagnosing psychological or medical conditions. If any issues come up for you that should be handled by a licensed therapist or physician, I insist that you must attend to your health by contacting the appropriate professional.
As your Coach, I will bring attentive listening, understanding, belief in you and commitment to your success. You can expect me to challenge you, offer fresh perspectives, make requests (including assigning homework), and acknowledge your positive progress.
